Welcome to Year 3's page!

Keep an eye on our page as we post regular updates on our fantastic learning and also key information here!

Just a quick reminder;

  • 3S have PE on Tuesday and Wednesday. 3W have PE on Wednesday and Friday. We ask that your child has a plain white t-shirt, black shorts and suitable footwear.

  • Homework (Literacy, Numeracy and Spellings) are given out each Friday using our online facility Quizizz. Children have until the following Wednesday to complete the work online using the code they have been given. We do understand that there may be occasions where this may be late.   Please just let us know in advance as we are happy to re-arrange on the odd occasion. We test spellings on a Friday morning.

  • Please can you make sure your child reads at home each day. We have regular reading rewards and love to follow the famous quote from Dr Seuss... "The more that you read, the more you will know, the more you will know, the more places you will go!

  • Lastly, we are focusing on the Sacramental Programme (Holy Communion) this year and we encourage any questions regarding this special occasion. Please do not hesitate to approach us for guidance or advice.

Most importantly, we hope your child has fun, broadens their education and cherishes the memories they will build this year. We are sure we will have a fantastic year!

Stone Age Discovery!

The children have made a fantastic discovery on our school playground which we think may be linked to a stone age settlement! It comes after we have just started a new class text  'Stig of the dump.' We have decided to write about our findings in a newspaper report!

This week, we have been learning about measure. We made our learning fun and practical by estimating and measuring in metres using chalk, outside!
