Year 5W have been designing their very own king's table since King Richard II defeated Wat Tyler during the peasant's revolt. We have looked at what food a peasant would eat during the middle ages and then also researched what kings would eat. The children have been busy making bread in class and have also been baking delicious desserts at home to bring in for us all to share. Four children were nominated to go and choose and friend from another class to join us during out king's dinner. We did a speech and we ate like kings for the whole morning- a great outcome!
