Image of The day the minibeasts came to St Clare's...

Our topic in Spring 2 Term has been 'Wiggle and Crawl' so the children have been learning all about different minibeasts and their habitats.

We had a special visit from Andrew, a minibeast expert from Animals Intuition, who brought along some of his very special minibeast friends to meet the children. The children got to meet and hold Marge the Giant African millipede, Matilda the Giant African Land Snail, Charlie and Lola who were Madagascan hissing cockroaches, Stanley the flat rock scorpion AND Mr Tickles the snake!

The visit provided the children an opportunity to learn about the different minibeasts and their habitats. They all asked lots of interesting questions about the minibeasts which Andrew did a fantasic job of answering, and all the children were engaged throughout the whole workshop.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and so did the staff! Many thanks to Andrew for providing such a a fantastic experience!
