Caritas own clothes day - Friday 24th November

Own clothes day this Friday 24th November!

Today, we welcomed Jacquie, a CAFOD representative, to lead our Assembly on how we can reach out and support our global neighbours. She told us of several stories relating to the floods in Pakistan and how our fundraising can help with medical needs. We will arrange some fundraising events before Christmas to show our support for this worthy charity.

The Big Sing

Today, our choir went to the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester to take part in The Big Sing. We sang lots of songs from the 70s. We even met the mayor!

Manchester City raffle

Our Mini-Clares are selling raffle tickets on the playground in order to raise funds for St Joseph's Penny. Tickets are £1 a strip. First prize is a MCFC tracksuit top (size small adults), a MCFC football and a watch. Second prize is a football. Please try to support this worthy cause.

Ukraine

Thank you for your donations towards the appeal for the Ukraine through the sunflower seeds and photographs with our very own Tinasaurus. We raised £235! This Friday we will be wearing our own clothes with a Ukrainian feel, so either sunflower colours or the colours of the Ukrainian flag (blue and yellow).
