Independence: The key to pupils' succcess

During this school year a number of posts on the website have highlighted the importance of independent learning, as this is the key to success for pupils.   However talented, whatever pupils' academic level, their capacity for self development remains the most crucial ingredient for the future.  Fostering independent learning, particularly in the basics, is a central challenge for our school and this is why such facilities as Tables Challenge and Maths Rock exist.   Below is a video of a pupil who regularly attends.   As well as developing her maths, she evidences the resilience and determination that we want for all pupils.   Well done to her.
