Image of Bronze Age mining Children

This week, 3S have moved on with their learning of Prehistoric Britain, and the Stone Age, and are now focusing on the Bronze Age.

To to help the children to imagine what the life of a Bronze Age child miner would have been like, we made a 'mining tunnel' in our classroom which the children had to travel through collecting Bronze. Before they were invited to do this, they had to create an application for the job of the child miner. We had some fantastic, and very interesting applications!

It was great to see the children using their imaginations to aid them with the understanding of life as a Bronze Age child.
